Having worked as a creative director, account executive, and art director, Chris Shute’s expertise in advertising and marketing spans pretty much everything we do here at Rare Bird, with decades of experience in client services, brand strategy, UX design, video, web, TV, print, outdoor media, and more.
But it’s his talent for dumb trivia, useless factoids, and reciting obscure lines from movies, TV, and commercials that puts him right at home with the rest of the Flock. His dog, Ozzy—approximately the size of a small horse and named after the rock icon who famously bit the head off a bat—became an immediate office favorite upon his first visit.
When he’s not busy delivering above-and-beyond service for clients, driving award-winning campaigns, or barking at the moon on a crazy train, Chris also enjoys watching his beloved Reds. ”Without baseball,” he says, “hot dogs are just a bad sandwich.”
Favorite movie quote:
“Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”
—Gone with the Wind
When was the exact moment you knew you were a nerd?
When I redesigned/rebranded my favorite cereal and repackaged it at the age of seven. I just couldn’t take it anymore.
One lesson you’ve learned that has really stuck with you…
Never give up. You’ll have fewer regrets in life.
